Umza International Farms Limited is incorporated, laying the foundation for its work in agriculture and agro-processing.

Milling begins
Commercial rice processing starts in Kano with an initial capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes a year.

- 2015–20
Outgrowers grow
The farmer and outgrower network expands. Umza serves as an off-taker under the CBN Anchor Borrowers’ Programme in Kebbi State.

- 2020–22
200,000 MT
Investment in processing infrastructure and technology raises annual capacity to 200,000 metric tonnes.

- Land
7,150 hectares
Allocations of 150 ha in Jigawa State and 7,000 ha in Bauchi State for rice production.

- 2023–24
Umza Oil Mills
Diversification into edible oil: Soya Bean Oil, and Rice Bran Oil from the rice mill’s own bran.

Integrated agribusiness
Sourcing, rice processing, oil production and distribution, with renewable energy supporting the facilities.
