Room to grow

7,150 hectares for the next harvests.

The Jigawa and Bauchi State Governments have allocated 150 hectares and 7,000 hectares respectively to Umza for rice production. Preparations are underway for direct cultivation and expanded outgrower activity across these locations.

Umza also served as an off-taker under the CBN Anchor Borrowers’ Programme in Kebbi State, procuring 1,863 metric tonnes of paddy from participating farmers.
